Fondly called Upubhai, the second son of Jyotendra and Madhurika, was a science graduate from Ismail Yusuf College, Bombay
Was in-charge of the Dhola Sugar Factory (Gujarat). Unfortunately in 1956, the factory was wound up as one of the partners committed a fraud
Joined Scindia Steam Navigation (co-founded by his grandfather, Lallubhai) at Bombay, where he was appointed as Personnel Manager
A very loving and caring person, Upendra's life was cut short in 1972, at the age of 50, due to stomach ulcers
His passing left a big void in the family
